California firefighters quickly extinguished an alley blaze that was ignited when downed power lines set trees on fire Sunday.

Compton and Los Angeles County crews responded to the fire in a Compton alley shortly after 3:40 a.m., KCAL-TV reports. At least five trees were burning in the alley, and sparking wires from fallen electrical lines had caused the blaze.

Firefighters were able to contain the flames in about 15 minutes and keep them from spreading to any nearby structures. Fences were charred, however, and the fire did knock down other power lines and trees, KCAL added.

Raw video footage from Loudlabs News captured crews making quick work of the blaze. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
