WA Firefighter Hospitalized after Battling Residential Fire
A Washington firefighter was injured battling a residential fire that displaced seven people Thursday.
The fire broke out at a four-plex in Spokane's Hillyard neighborhood, KREM-TV reports. Flames caused heavy damage to the east and west side units on the structure's first floor.
A firefighter suffered an unspecified injury during the call. The first responder was taken to the hospital to be evaluated.
The fire displaced six adults and a teenager, according to KREM. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
