New Jersey crews were nearly struck by a collapsing wall during a three-alarm fire that brought down half a residential building early Friday.
The fire broke out at around 3:30 a.m. at a three-story Atlantic City home that contained six apartments, WPVI-TV reports. Wind-fueled flames quickly spread after erupting on the structure's first floor.
The flames collapsed around 50 percent of the building, bringing down a wall that nearly struck several firefighters. No residents were injured during the fire.
A firefighter suffered a knee injury during the call, according to WPVI. It's not clear how the injury happened or if it occurred when the wall or part of the building collapsed.
Fourteen people were displaced by the fire, which is under investigation.
