NV Firefighters Pull 5-Year-Old Girl from Condo Fire

North Las Vegas and Las Vegas firefighters discovered the girl unconscious and not breathing on the second floor of the burning building.

A 5-year-old girl is on life-support after Nevada firefighters from a burning two-story condo over the weekend.

Crews from the North Las Vegas and Las Vegas fire departments responded to the fire at around 8:30 a.m. Saturday, according to the North Las Vegas Fire Department. When they arrived at the scene, firefighters were told that children were still inside the building.

The girl was discovered by firefighters on the condo's second floor, and she was unconscious and not breathing, a department spokesman told the Las Vegas Review-Journal. She was revived at the scene and taken to the hospital, where she remains on life support.

Four other people also were taken to the hospital, and their conditions were unknown, according to the department. The girl's grandmother and 8-year-old sister were able to escape the flames.  

The condo sustained around $150,000 in damage, and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
