At least 100 Dallas firefighters battled a five-alarm fire that erupted at an apartment complex Monday.
The fire broke out shortly before 5:30 p.m. at the two-story Forest Cove Apartments, WFAA-TV reports. Flames partially collapsed the building's roof, forcing crews to take a defensive approach, and the fire was raised to a fifth alarm at about 6:45 p.m.
Between 90 to 100 firefighters worked to get the fire under control. The fire spread to three nearby buildings, and it destroyed 52 apartments.
No injuries were reported during the call, but a resident suffered a non-related medical emergency and was taken to the hospital. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
