A fire at a triple-decker home in Roslindale early Sunday morning has displaced 14 people and a pet dog, according to the Boston Fire Department.

At about 12:45 a.m., firefighters responded to 293 Belgrade Ave. after heavy smoke was seen coming from the basement of the building, the department said on Twitter.

The fire spread from the basement to the first floor of the building, but was knocked down by about 1:30 a.m.

Damage to the building was estimated at about $250,000, the department said.
