A fire at a paint plant in Garland prompted road closures as first responders worked to bring the massive blaze under control.
The fire was reported at the Sherwin-Williams paint plant on South Shiloh Road, KXAS-TV ( NBC 5) reported. Garland police said to expect heavy delays because of road closures in the area. No air quality alerts were immediately issued.
Videos posted to social media show thick columns of smoke coming from the factory pre-dawn. Fireballs could intermittently be seen coming from the factory because of explosions.
Authorities recommended people stay away from the area.
