Brush Fire Ignites Plastics at Osceola County, FL, Nursery
A fast-moving brush fire Sunday spread to a commercial nursery igniting piles of plastic inventory that sent thick dark smoke over a wide portion of Osceola County.
Firefighters from St. Cloud Fire Rescue, Osceola County and the City of Kissimmee were involved in the operation, WESH reported.
The fire that burned for several hours forced a nearby tortilla business, a restaurant and others to evacuate.
It wasn't the first time firefighters dealt with a blaze at the nursery. Three years ago, two acres of plastic pallets were destroyed and burned for more than 12 hours.
