Firefighters Battle Ohio Structure Fire

A firefighter suffered a minor hand injury while battling this two alarm house fire on Dec. 7 in Troy, Ohio.Captain Dave Fornell reports, "I was working in my office when I heard the dispatch for Troy to a structure a block away. Saw the smoke banking down when I went out my front door." The fire at 111 South Crawford St. was reported about 10:30 a.m. and was well involved when fire crews arrived. Once on scene, the fire was brought under control in about 15 minutes.

The fire at 111 South Crawford St. was reported about 10:30 a.m. and was well involved when fire crews arrived. Once on scene, the fire was brought under control in about 15 minutes.

Three engines and a medic responded to the scene and the blaze caused extensive damage to the two-story home. Two residents escaped the fire.
