Firefighters Battle Ohio Structure Fire

A firefighter suffered a minor hand injury while battling this two alarm house fire on Dec. 7 in Troy, Ohio.Captain Dave Fornell reports, "I was working in my office when I heard the dispatch for Troy to a structure a block away. Saw the smoke banking down when I went out my front door." The fire at 111 South Crawford St. was reported about 10:30 a.m. and was well involved when fire crews arrived. Once on scene, the fire was brought under control in about 15 minutes.

A firefighter suffered a minor hand injury while battling this two alarm house fire on Dec. 7 in Troy, Ohio.

Captain Dave Fornell reports, "I was working in my office when I heard the dispatch for Troy to a structure a block away. Saw the smoke banking down when I went out my front door."

The fire at 111 South Crawford St. was reported about 10:30 a.m. and was well involved when fire crews arrived. Once on scene, the fire was brought under control in about 15 minutes.

Three engines and a medic responded to the scene and the blaze caused extensive damage to the two-story home. Two residents escaped the fire.
