Apartment Building Burns in Oregon

 At 1:33 a.m. on Oct. 25 a box was struck for an apartment fire at 13746 NE Powell Blvd. The first firefighters reported heavy black smoke from the first floor of a large two-story apartment building with fire extending to the second floor. When crews reported fire extending to the attic, a second alarm was sounded. All occupants escaped. One boy was treated for slight smoke inhalation but he was not transported.
