Mid-day Townhouse Fire Displaces Six in Chester, Virginia

Chesterfield County, Virginia Fire and EMS units responded to report of a townhouse on fire on Goyne Road.

First arriving engine encountered an end unit town house with its veneer engulfed in fire. Initial attack on the fire was made by Chesterfield County Engine 1 and the bulk of the fire was knocked down quickly.

Units remained on the scene for some time afterward checking he adjacent units for extension of fire.

The fire was contained in the one unit with smoke damage in adjacent units.

Six persons were displaced by the fire and were being assisted by the Red Cross.
