Structure Fire in Fairhaven, Massachusetts

Fairhaven Firefighters were called out to this structure fire on Tuesday, July 25th, at approximately 11:30 am.

Fairhaven Firefighters were called out to this structure fire on Tuesday, July 25th, at approximately 11:30 am.

On arrival, Engine 3 reported fire showing from the second floor of a 2 1/2 story dwelling.

Initial attempts to attack the fire from the interior were unsucessfull and the fire was darkened from the outside with 3 handlines. Interior operations were then again initiated, this time with sucess.

Two engines, a heavy rescue, and an EMS ambulance responded on the call, as well as a RIT team and mutual aid from the towns of Acushnet and Mattapiosett.

The fire was placed under control in one hour.
