Pontiac Fire Department was dispatched to a building fire around on Sunday, June 18, 2006.

Upon arrival, firefighters encountered heavy smoke and fire conditions.

Command advised the roof was compromised and a collapse zone was established and operations were switched to defensive attack.

The fire was in a vacant, 40 x 80 2- story commercial building.

Pontiac Fire Department was on scene with 3 engines, 1 rescue, 1 squad, 1 truck and a Battalion Chief.

The fire was brought under control after about 3 hours, using master streams, several handlines and 1 Ladder Pipe.
