Dumpster Fire in Bristol, Tennessee

On May 28, 2006, the Bristol, Tennessee Fire Department (A-Shift) responded to a reported dumpster fire at Coyne Textile Services at 136 7th Street, Bristol Tennessee.

While enroute additional information was received that it was not a dumpster fire but it was bins of rags. The fire extended in an adjoining business. All fire was extinguished and salvage and overhaul was performed.

The Bristol Tennessee Fire Department was assisted in mutual aid by the Bristol Virginia Fire Department. Also EMS assistance by Ambulance Service of Bristol and Bristol Life Saving Crew.

The Bristol Tennessee Fire Department responded with 3 engines, 1 quint, 2 ALS ambulances and Battalion Commander.
