On March 2, 2004, South Lynches Fire Department in Lake City, South Carolina responded to a reported working mobile home fire.
First arriving units reported a fully involved mobile home fire. Engine 312 was first on the scene and quickly knocked the bulk of the fire down using an Akron Mercury Portable Monitor and one 1 3/4 handline.
The residents were home at the time of the fire and were able to escape the structure.
Due to the fact that this fire was in an unhydranted area, SLFD responded with 3 engines, 3 tankers, 1 rescue/service unit, and about 25 firefighters.
Florence County EMS was also dispatched to the scene. The fire was brought under control in about 10 minutes.
