Miami, Florida- A gasoline tanker carrying over 4000 gallons of gasoline overturned Saturday, March 6, 2004 in Miami Springs.
Miami-Dade Fire Department received the call for the tanker accident at 6000 NW 36th Street around 1:00 in the afternoon, shutting down 36th Street for over 12 hours.
A dozen companies responded to the scene and worked into the night to off-load and upright the gasoline tanker.
The accident was apparently caused when the driver of the tanker misjudged a turn and the load shift caused the tanker to overturn.
No injuries were reported during the single vehicle accident and subsequent clean-up operation.
