Structure Fire in Paris, Texas

On April 1, 2006, at approximately 5:45 pm, the Paris, Texas Fire Department was dispatched to a reported structure fire.

Engines 1, 2, and 4; Rescue 1 and Command 1 responded to the 1000 Block Northeast 22nd Street.

First on scene Engine 2 arrived to find a one story structure with heavy smoke and fire showing. As the crew of Engine 2 strecthed lines, Engine 1 laid in a 5 inch suppy line.

Crews mounted an aggressive attack with two pre-connect hand lines, with Engine 4 providing ventilation.

Engine 3 was called for manpower during overhaul.

The structure sustained heavy fire damage, but no one was at home at the time of the fire. The cause of the blaze is still under investigation.
