On Friday January 30, 2004 a two-alarm fire destroyed a three-story home in Cadiz, Ohio.
At approximately 03:30 am the Cadiz Fire Department, Hopedale Fire Department, and Harrisville Fire Department, responded to a dwelling fire on Charleston Street.
Firefighters arrived on scene within five minutes of dispatch and struck the second alarm. Three fire companies battled the blaze in freezing 8 degree weather for over three hours.
A total of total of three engines, one ladder truck and two rescue squads responded to the fire.
The home was uninhabited at the time of the fire. The cause of the fire has not yet been determined and is currently under investigation by the Fire Marshal.
