At 7:28 pm, on Monday, February 6, 2006, units from the City of Santa Clara Fire Department responded to multiple reports of a structure fire in a single family dwelling located at 235 Bret Harte Court on the city's south side.
At 7:28 pm, on Monday, February 6, 2006, units from the City of Santa Clara Fire Department responded to multiple reports of a structure fire in a single family dwelling located at 235 Bret Harte Court on the city's south side.
Upon their arrival the crew of the first due Engine Company reported a working fire with heavy flame and smoke showing from the garage. An attack was immediately mounted resulting in significant knock down of the active fire. Firefighters were able to gain the upper hand on this stubborn blaze within approximately 30 minutes.
Units responding included Engines 4, 3, 7, 1, Medic 1, Rescue 2, Hazmat 9, Truck 2 and Battalion 1. The fire resulted in one minor burn injury to a resident and the cause of the fire remains under investigation at the time of this writing.
