Shortly before 4 pm(PST), the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) was dispatched to a structure fire at 19414 Londelius Street in Northridge, California.
First units on scene found a 100 x 150 commercial structure that was home to a cabinet manufacturing firm with heavy smoke and fire showing.
A half dozen workers escaped without any harm prior to the first units arriving.
Firefighters were driven back after attempting an interior attack due to the intense heat brought upon from the materials burning inside.
The LAFD then went to a defensive attack on the fire with master streams and handlines and gained a knock down at 5:07 pm(PST).
One Hundred Eighty-Seven firefighters fought this blaze, but no civilian or firefighter injuries were reported.
Fire damage was reported at $1,000,000, and the cause was determined as electrical.
