20002 Dodd Blvd, Residential Fire - At 2:08 pm, on December 18, 2005, Lakeville Fire, Police and ALF Ambulance responded to a report of heavy smoke showing from a residence.
Firefighters from 3 stations initially responded to the fire and had it under control at 12:42 pm. An additional station was paged to assist with cleanup.
The fire was contained to the living room area and believed to have started in the fireplace chimney. Heavy smoke damaged the reminder of the structure.
Crews cleared the scene at 3:30 pm.
No one was home at the time.
One firefighter received minor injuries.

9774 250th St. W. Shed Fire - At 5:26 am, on December 19, 2005, Lakeville Fire, Police and ALF Ambulance responded to a report of fire in the attic area of a machine shed in Eureka Township.
Firefighters from Lakeville Station 1, 2, & 3 responded to the fire and had it out in approximately 1 hour.
Lakeville Station #4 stayed in Lakeville to handle any additional calls. In addition to Lakeville Fire, New Market Fire Department assisted with providing tanker water.
Firefighters were hampered by frigid temperatures (10 below 0 upon arrival) and icy conditions. Fire crews cleared the scene at 8:17 am.
The fire was contained to the attic; however, the entire structure was damaged by the collapse of the ceiling. This fire was believed to have begun in a wood stove chimney in the shed.
There were no injuries.

305 Caesar Street, Garage Fire - At 9:49 am, on December 19, 2005, Lakeville Fire and Police responded to a reported garage fire at Ardmore Village in Lakeville.
Firefighters from Station #1 & #2 were paged to the call. Firefighters from Station #3, who were finishing cleanup from the previous fire, responded as well.
The garage was fully involved in fire and threatening the adjacent home.
Firefighters quickly extinguished the blaze and made sure the fire hadn't spread inside the home, although it did damage the siding of the home.
The garage was a total loss.
The cause of the blaze is believed to be from an LP heater that was heating the garage.
Crews cleared the scene at 10:48 am.
There were no injuries.
