The Briar Oaks, Texas Volunteer Fire Department (VFD) responded to a reported structure fire on Alan Drive, 4 miles west of their station.

The Briar Oaks, Texas Volunteer Fire Department (VFD) responded to a reported structure fire on Alan Drive, 4 miles west of their station. Dispatch time was 12:48 on Saturday, November 26, 2005.

As their first on engine was in route with heavy smoke showing, mutual aid was requested from the following departments: Joshua VFD, Keene VFD, and Burleson FD. Also, Briar Oaks 2nd engine responded.

The first unit mounted an interior attack, but was soon pulled out by command to continue an exterior attack as the attic was totally involved.

Due to the collapse of the roof, the Burleson FD's, Tower One, set up to extinguish the fire in the interior walls.

Johnson County Emergency Support Services responded along with Careflite Ground Ambulance for medical and food and water support.
