A wildfire in San Diego County killed 11 people and destroyed hundreds of homes Sunday. Mayor Dick Murphy and Gov. Gray Davis issued a state of emergency and President Bush is expected to declare San Diego County a disaster area Monday.

According to officials, the Cedar Fire, which alone has consumed more than 100,000 acres, caused widespread evacuations and destroyed more than 300 homes, mostly in Scripps Ranch.
