Taylor, Texas Fire Department Battles Building Fire

At 3:54 pm, Taylor Fire Department of Taylor, Texas was dispatched to a reported building fire at Contech Construction located at 210 Gym Street.

At 3:54 pm, Taylor Fire Department of Taylor, Texas was dispatched to a reported building fire at Contech Construction located at 210 Gym Street.

Engine 280 arrived first on scene at 3:56 pm to find heavy fire and smoke showing from the building.

An exterior attack was started due to the amount of heavy fire.

A pre-connected 2 1/2" blitz line was pulled from engine 280 to start the attack. MRV 286 arrived on scene and LT.

Kerzee took command of the scene.

Engine 282 Laid a 5" supply line from an orange hydrant at the entrance of the complex.

The deck gun from Engine 280 was used to knock down the fire. Other hand lines were used for an interior attack.

A tanker was used to extinguish a small grass fire.

The fire was declared under control by 4:09 pm.

In all 2 Engines, 1 Tanker, 1 MRV (Med Response vehicle), and the chiefs car responded to the fire.

There were no injuries reported.

The fire is under investigation by Lt. Fontenot of the Taylor Fire Department.
