Montgomery, New York Firefighters Battle Fully Involved Car Fire

Just after midnight on October 18, 2003 the Montgomery Fire Department was alerted for a possible Car Fire on Rt 208 just north of Interstate 84 (Exit 5 ramp).

Just after midnight on October 18, 2003 the Montgomery Fire Department was alerted for a possible Car Fire on Rt 208 just north of Interstate 84 (Exit 5 ramp).

Units from Montgomery were advised enroute that the police department was on scene with a fully involved car.

Prior to fire department arrival, the car exploded. Police closed Rt 208 at Hawkins Dr and I-84 while fire department units operated on scene.

Upon arrival of Engine-219, firefighters stretched a line and made an aggressive attack and knocked the fire down.
