The Cleburne, Texas Fire Department was dispatched to a structure fire at 3:12 on Friday, October 28, 2005 on the east edge of town.
Tower 1 was first on finding a fully involved house fire. The house was vacant at the time.
The Keene Volunteer Fire Department was also dispatched through Johnson County Dispatch and their new 1,000 gallon engine was second on supplying water. Cleburne Engine 2 & 3 arrived soon after.
As the closest hydrant was 1/2 mile away, the three engines set up a water shuttle.
The first crew quickly knocked the fire down in the front rooms of the small house. The crew from the Keene Volunteer Fire Department pulled a second line to the rear of the house for an exterior attack.
The fire was contained in approximately 25 minutes.
The final two Cleburne Engines cleared at 5:22.
