On October 10, 2003 at 10:00pm a 5 alarm blaze erupted in downtown Mount Holly, NJ. The fire was placed under control at roughly 4:30am the next morning.
The fire was at a historic building, which was built in the late 1800's. The building was an old pharmacy which was balloon construction with heavy timber.
The 5 alarm fire brought 5 aerial apparatus pieces and numerous tankers and engines to the scene. A pipeline was also called to help supply sufficient water to the fire.
With this over a 100 firefighters came to assist during the incident. No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
