Gas Main Break, Fire in Long Island
New Hyde Park Fire on September 27, 2005, 10:30 am, on Jericho Turnpike and Covert Avenue.
The fire started by a contractor accidently digging up a gas main in the sidewalk.
Departments responded from Garden City, Mineola, Elmont, Floral Park, Floral Park Center.
