South Spring Valley, New York Firefighters Battle Fully Involved House Under Construction

The South Spring Valley Fire Department was alerted to "smoke in the area" at 6:52 am, on Saturday, July 23, 2005.

The South Spring Valley Fire Department was alerted to "smoke in the area" at 6:52 am, on Saturday, July 23, 2005.

While Chief Lacher [25-1] was enroute to the call, 44 Control notified him that they received an additional phone call reporting a structure fire at the intersection of Cannan Road & Kennedy Parkway.

The 1,800 square foot colonial was fully involved when Chief Lacher arrived on scene.

Mutual was called for a pumper & manpower from Spring Valley to the scene and a pumper & manpower from Nanuet to cover South Spring Valley's Firehouse.

The fire is under investigation by the Ramapo Police Department & the Rockland County Sheriff's Department of Criminal Investigation [B.C.I.].
