On 6-4-03 at 0702 hours Engine-1, Engine-2, Engines-4 & 402 (duty-chief) were dispatched to 108 Estate Drive for a structure fire.

On 6-4-03 at 0702 hours Engine-1, Engine-2, Engines-4 & 402 (duty-chief) were dispatched to 108 Estate Drive for a structure fire.

Engine-2 arrived on the scene at 0705, reported heavy fire showing from a single story residential structure.

Engine-2 established a water supply and initiated an attack. Other units arrived and assisted with fire attack and exposure protection. The fire was brought under control in approximately 20 minutes.

Units 401(Deputy chief), 411 & 412 (Fire marshal & inspector) and Squad 1 assisted.

The occupant exited the dwelling prior to arrival of the fire department and was uninjured. One firefighter received a minor burn to his wrist fighting the fire.

The fire originated in the garage from an apparent electrical short. The occupant attempted to extinguish the fire prior to notifying the fire department.
