Fayetteville, Ohio firefighters responded to a report of fire at a residence on Glady Road in Perry Township on June 2, 2003.
The first due engine reported heavy fire from the roof of a single family dwelling. Hampered by a lack of fire hydrants and the remote location of the incident, firefighters requested tankers from neighboring departments to help provide a water supply to fight the stubborn fire.
Assisting at the scene were the Wayne Township, Jackson Township and Owensville Fire Departments. An engine company from both Goshen and Miami Townships provided area coverage during the incident.
The fire was declared under control in about 25 minutes. No injuries to firefighters or civilians were reported. The cause of the fire is still undetermined.
