NY Firefighters Battle 3 Alarm House Fire

At approx 1345 Hours on Wednesday April 16 the Pine Bush Fire Department was alerted for a possible structure fire at 14 Doviak Ln in the Town of Shawangunk Ulster County portion of their District.

At approx 1345 Hours on Wednesday April 16 the Pine Bush Fire Department was alerted for a possible structure fire at 14 Doviak Ln in the Town of Shawangunk Ulster County portion of their District. Pine Bush is actually located in Orange County and is in the 2nd Battalion.

Pine Bush Command arrived to find a 2.5 frame farmhouse with the 2nd floor well involved and already a partial collapse of the roof. Prior to Command arriving on scene Mutual Aid from several Departments had been started to the scene since the fire was in a "No Hydrant" district.

Firefighters had the fire under control with 1 hour. Assisting Pine Bush on the scene were units from Bullville, Montgomery, Wallkill, Walden, Walker Valley & Cragsmoor along with Orange County Car-12, Deputy Coordinator Anthony Trapini. Pine Bush Ambulance established a rehab area and stood by at the scene. The house was destroyed in the blaze and the cause is under investigation by the Orange County Fire Investigation Unit.
