On April 12, 2003, around 12:15 am, the St. Paul Boulevard Fire Department along with the Rochester Fire Department responded to a structure fire on Rock Beach Road. Upon arrival units found a large 2 story frame house fully involved.

The house, built in 1918, was on a small bluff overlooking the lake, and firefighters had access to only three sides of the building. The house was a total loss. The house was unoccupied, and no one was injured in the blaze. The house sold in November for $635,000.
