New Jersey Firefighters Attack Building Fire

  On Wednesday, October 6, a box was dispatched in Camden City for a building fire at Mt. Ephraim Ave and Jackson St. at 6:34 p.m. Camden County Communications advised they had received multiple calls from people reporting a store on fire. The added the third engine to the box. The crew of Squad 7 confirmed smoke showing, and they would be going in operation. Battalion 1 reported a two-story middle of the row mixed use occupany.  The All Hands box was struck.

Battalion 1 reported a two-story middle of the row mixed use occupany.  The All Hands box was struck.

Two 1 3/4" hand lines were placed in operation as a water supply was secured.

Crews reported poor building conditions due to a prior fire that took out the first floor.

Searches were negative as the fire was brought under control.

No injuries were reported. The Camden City Fire Marshals have the fire under investigation.
