New Jersey FFs Respond to Heavy Smoke

On Wednesday Aug. 25, a building fire was dispatched in Pennsauken at 11:55 A.M. at 3762 Garfield Ave.

Command found heavy smoke showing from the second floor of a two-story apartment building. They struck the all hands.

Engine 1191 secured a water supply and led off with a 1 3/4" hand line followed by a backup line. Companies reported heavy fire conditions on the second floor.

The rtuck company placed ground ladders and opened the roof. Searches were negative.

The fire was placed under control with no injuries.

The fire is under investigation by the Pennsauken Fire Department and the Camden County Fire Marshals office.
