NJ Firefighters Extinguish Apartment Fire

On March 15th, 2003, a fire broke out in the basement of one of the Princeton Gardens Apartments units. The fire began at approx. 1500 hours and was officially extinguished at 1830hrs.

On March 15th, 2003, a fire broke out in the basement of one of the Princeton Gardens Apartments units. The fire began at approx. 1500 hours and was officially extinguished at 1830hrs.

New Market Fire Company was quickly dispatched to the scene. Dispatched to assist from within the town were North Stelton Fire Company, which provided an engine and a ladder truck. The towns 4 other fire companies were also on scene. Also, responding to the scene were firefighters from the surrounding towns of South Plainfield, Middlesex and Dunellen.

None of the occupants of the 36 units were harmed or injured. 2 Firefighters were attended to by EMS for smoke inhalation but were not transported. EMS personnel from North Stelton Rescue Squad, River Road Rescue Squad, Dunellen First Aid Squad were also on scene to assist.
