Virginia Fire-Rescue Efforts on Route 28

Two drivers were slightly injured and a third escaped injury Monday May 9, 2005 when a trailer that was being carried by a tractor trailer truck over-turned onto their vehicles at the intersection of Route 28 and Liberia Ave.

Two drivers were slightly injured and a third escaped injury Monday May 9, 2005 when a trailer that was being carried by a tractor trailer truck over-turned onto their vehicles at the intersection of Route 28 and Liberia Ave.

Crews from the City of Manassas Fire Company #1 and Rescue Company 1, City of Manassas Park Fire & Rescue and Prince William Fire & Rescue worked to extricate one victim and treat both victims at the scene.

One victim was flown to a local trauma center due to the mechanism of injury.

The accident caused major traffic delays during the afternoon commute.
