Texas Firefighters Extinguish Mobile Home Fire

At 3:55 am on March 9, 2003, the Lillian VFD was dispatched to Sunshine Lane in Johnson County, Texas for a mobile home fire. The Venus VFD was called on for mutual aid.

The first engine in found a single wide mobile home fully involved in flames. Three engines, one semi-trailer and ten volunteer firefighters responded. At 5:45 am the fire was declared contained. Mop-up continued for another hour and a half.

The owner was not at home. The only injury was a blackeye when 2 firemen were making a corner in the firehouse, ran head-on into each other while responding to the fire.
