Washington State Firefighters Respond to Fatal Fiery MVA

On March 13, 2005, at 12:30 PM, a report came in for a car versus motorcycle accident at a busy intersection on Washington Rt. 9 in Lake Stevens.

On March 13, 2005, at 12:30 PM, a report came in for a car versus motorcycle accident at a busy intersection on Washington Rt. 9 in Lake Stevens.

First arriving Medic Unit (M82) reported a multiple car accident with one vehicle on fire. The fire was quickly extinguished by E81 and E82.

Unfortunately, the motorcycle driver did not survive. Two other drivers were taken by Aid Car (A82) to local hospitals.

The highway was closed down for several hours following the accident. Snohomish County Fire District #8 (Lake Stevens) was the only fire agency that responded.
