Firefighters Battle House Fire Near Bayfield, Colorado

BAYFIELD, CO - On January 16, 2005 at approximately 0500 hours, the Upper Pine River Fire Protection District was dispatched to a report of a structure fire. The fire was located in the Deer Valley Subdivision, situated about five miles east of Bayfield, Colorado.

Units arrived on scene to find a well developed fire in a single family dwelling.

Roads leading into the subdivision were still snow packed from recent winter storms and the temperature at the time of the incident was hovering around 10
