OCALA, FLA. -- Three adults were able to escape when fire quickly destroyed their mobile home Saturday, March 13.
Ocala firefighters responded at 7:30 a.m. to the fire at 2702 NW 19 Ave. Flames were coming from the structure. The owner told fire officials he had a smoke alarm but it was not working.
The Red Cross was called to assist. Fourteen firefighters and one battalion chief responded, manning two engines, a rescue, a squad, a tower ladder and a command vehicle.
The fire was placed under control at 7:46 a.m. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
