Two firefighters suffered burns battling a blaze which took Suburban Pennsylvania firefighters several hours to bring under control late Tuesday.
Shortly before 9 p.m, firefighters arrived at the Jack Francis Catering business with heavy smoke showing and heavy fire in the rear of a two and a half story commercial structure, approximately 75x100 feet.
The building is located at 300 Maple Street in Conshohocken, about 10 miles north of Philadelphia in Montgomery County.
Crews made an agressive interior attack in the basement before being pushed back by flames and rapidly deteriorating interior conditions.
Two firefighters were briefly reported unaccounted for when the stairs they were on collapsed. Both managed to escape the building with non-critical burns. They were both listed in good condition at an area hospital. Their names and department affiliations were not immediately available.
Command ordered all firefighters out of the building and went to an exterior attack soon after, utilizing multiple master streams to bring the fire under control.
