An elderly couple managed to escape a fire, which forced them into the frigid early morning air and devastated their one story home and most of their possessions.

An elderly couple managed to escape a fire, which forced them into the frigid early morning air and devastated their one story home and most of their possessions.

At 5: 40 AM, on December 18, 2004 the Vineland Fire Department was dispatched to a dwelling fire at 747 E. Earl Drive. Stations 6 and 1 responded with Engines 61, 10 and Rescue 1.

Upon arrival, heavy smoke was showing from the entire wood frame single-family dwelling. Captain Ugo Trasferini performed a quick size-up and discovered heavy fire in the basement. He ordered E-61
