New York Vehicle Strikes Tractor-Trailer
A Ford Taurus wagon was heading northbound on Interstate 390 on Nov. 3 and ran into the back of a tractor-trailer that was disabled on the shoulder of the road.Â
The Henrietta Ambulance Chief was on scene with a severely damaged car, two occupants out of the vehicle and one still sitting in the vehicle's back seat area. EMS Command requested three ALS ambulances to the scene. Â The Henrietta Fire Department assisted with packaging patients and blocking the right lane of I-390 NB.Â
The three occupants were transported by Henrietta Ambulance to Strong Hospital for evaluation. Â The most severe injury was the unbelted back seat passenger, with a broken femur. The two front seat passengers had been given tickets and made to buckle up by a New York State Trooper just 15 minutes before the crash. The Monroe County Sheriff's Office is investigating the cause of the accident.
