Fire Damages Historic Minn. House

Oct. 15, 2009

A two-alarm fire destroyed an historic Minneapolis home on Sept 29. A captain was injured when a section of roof collapsed on her. The injuries appear to be minor.

The home was once occupied by Pauline Fjelde, who stictched the Minnesota state flag. The house was currently under review to be an official historical landmark.

Crews at 3009 Park Ave reported a lot of fire from both the first and second-floor of the home. They started an interior attack, but resorted to an exterior attack to contain the blaze.
