This stubborn house fire in Franklin Square, New York kept firefighters busy on the evening of October 7, 2004.

This stubborn house fire in Franklin Square, New York kept firefighters busy on the evening of October 7, 2004.

Responding units were advised of possible occupants trapped.

On arrival, units found a large volume of fire in a first floor bedroom and were later advised that a small toddler had been rescued by her family.

The child was transported to NUMC with a police escort.

Four firefighters were also injured with three being admitted for non-life threatening injuries.
