On September 2, 2004, at approximately 2:45 PM, a BMW traveling South on Route 18, prior to Tices Lane, lost control and overturned.
The vehicle struck a light pole, slid through the intersection, and struck a tree before stopping in the Joyce Leslie parking lot.
East Brunswick Police, Trans Med EMS, Medics and the East Brunswick District 2 Fire Department responded to the scene. The Fire Department extricated the unconscious man within 15 minutes of their arrival.
The driver was transported to the hospital as a trauma.
