Philadelphia Firefighters Tackle Taxpayer Fire

On Monday, July 26, 2004 around lunch time, a pedestrian walked into Engine 13, Ladder One's station at 15th and Parrish to report a fire in a vacant store.

On Monday, July 26, 2004 around lunch time, a pedestrian walked into Engine 13, Ladder One's station at 15th and Parrish to report a fire in a vacant store.

When firefighters arrived at at 1500 Ridge Ave. they found heavy fire condition on the upper floors of two 3 story vacant stores with apartments involved.

These properties were in bad condition, so the incident commander ordered an exterior attack. A full box alarm was transmitted with 4 engines, 2 ladders, 1 RIT ladder, and Rescue One responding.

There were no injuries, and the fire was bought under control within 30 minutes.
