Charlotte Firefighters Battle Blaze

A member of the department received a minor leg injury while fighting the fire and was treated at area medical facility.

Numerous calls came into the Charlotte Fire 911 center at approximately 4 pm on Jan. 23 reporting a house fire in the 2700 block of Morsey Court.

When firefighters arrived they found heavy fire conditions involving the garage and reaching the main part of this two-story home. The family of three was able to escape and only the father was treated for a minor arm injury.

It took the Charlotte Fire Department about 20 minutes to control the blaze and damage estimates were put at approximately $100,000. A member of the department received a minor leg injury while fighting the fire and was treated at area medical facility.

The cause was determined to be accidental and the American Red Cross responded to assist the family with their needs.
