Jan. 24, 2008
Littleton Engine 13 arrived to find a two story single family home with heavy fire.

Just after 11 a.m. on Jan. 17, Littleton Fire Communications alerted units to the intersection of Yukon Street and Fremont Avenue in Jefferson County for a reported structure fire. As units began their response a large smoke column could be seen for several miles.

First due Littleton Engine 13 arrived to find a two story single family home with heavy fire showing from the rear and a neighboring home threatened.

The crew from 13 quickly advanced a line and began to attack the large volume of fire. A second crew made entry for a short time before pulling out and going defensive.

One additional Engine & Medic Unit were special called over the first alarm. Several hand lines and one aerial master stream were used to knock down the fire. No one was home at the time and no injuries were reported, the exposure home received only minor damage. An investigation into the cause continues.
